New Year, New Feels, New Chances, Same Dreams, Fresh Start.
Ready for my 2017 recap?
Okay, ready, set, go!
Only a few more hours of 2017 are left and than it's time to celebrate the beginning of a new year and I honestly couldn't be more excited. I love New Year's Eve, the feeling of a fresh new start, new opportunities and all in all the new chances.
2017 started with me being very motivated for the upcoming year. Although I had a very good start into 2017, my mental health got worse at some point. Once again. So February, March and April were mainly influenced by self doubt and anxiety. But I don't give up that easily and I did everything to fight against it. I started this project here on the blog called 'More Self Love' and basically opened up about it. And at some point my mental health got better and better.
The next few month were, in terms of school, very stressful and difficult. As you may know I changed school and I had difficulties getting along with the school system and my grades dropped very unexpectedly. But I made it, I've passed and I was and still am really happy and proud of myself.
At the beginning of Summer, I worked really had on my blog, changed the name, bought my own domain and relaunched a few weeks later. Another big step for me was restarting doing Youtube. I've had more than one channel before, but I started anew and I am really looking forward to film more in 2018. Since the relaunch I've been working really hard and I've much more fun creating and writing articles than ever before.
But I've also been traveling this year. I went to South France twice and I've had the best time ever road tripping through South Germany in Summer. Besides I've done a couple of other getaways, for example Aachen in January and my birthday getaway to Grupont in late October.
Speaking about my Birthday, I still can't believe it but I am officially a grown-up now.
This year has been filled with self growth, happy moments and beautiful sunsets.
I am proud of where I am now and I hope 2018 will be even better. 2017 has definitely not been the best year I've ever had but I think I've grown a lot and I feel like I am doing really good at the moment, both mentally and physically.
my happy moments:
1. Seeing people react to my photographs.
2. Watching the sunset and listening to music.
3. Having many lovely people in my life that accept me the way I am.
Things I've learned this year:
1. Self Love is a difficult and long journey but believe me it's so worth it.
2. I learned much about friendships and enemies this year. I may have lost friends but oh well I have also made new ones and I am unbelievably grateful to have them in my life. Always remember 'Some friends come into your life for a reason, others come only for a season' and some are for a lifetime.
3. It's important to take a break. No matter who you are, what you do in life and where you live, please remember to take some time for yourself. You are enough and you still have time. The clock might be ticking but if your battery is low, you won't be able to shine.

my goal for 2018:
As a little girl I used to write down resolution for the upcoming year. But I don't anymore. In fact my only 'goal' for 2017 was to love myself more and even though I am still not totally self confident I feel like I can tick this one off from my list. I definitely wouldn't say that I've stepped out of my comfort zone many times, so I guess that's one of my resolution for the future.
Nevertheless there's one thing I really wanna do in 2018 - CREATE MORE.
I have a profound passion for photography and I really wanna take more artistic pictures. I mean I love to take pics for Instagram and for my blog, but I wanna express myself more throughout photography, poetry and art in general.
What are your goals for 2018?
Thank you so much for all your support and for being part of my journey. I hope you spread joy and happiness wherever you go all 365 days of the upcoming year and get the same in return.
Happy New Year to you!
See you soon,
