my minimal and clean bullet journal setup for 2019

New Year, New Bullet Journal

It's that time of the year again - the few days between the years, when you don't really know what to do but still wanna get ready for the upcoming year. I always love to sit down and do my bullet journal set up during these few days. So I asked you guys on Instagram >here< if you would like to see my final set up and as a result of all the positive reactions I got, we're here. I do have to say that my way of designing my spreads didn't change much from last year.

I wrote a more detailed article about bullet journaling 2 years ago >here< and my bullet journal set up for 2018 can also be found on the blog >here<. So go check them out for more inspiration and further informations if you don't know the concept of a bullet journal.

I always use the Leuchtturm 1917 dotted notebooks in A5, Staedtler pigment liners in 0,3 and 0,6 and tomboy and copic pens, but simple markers will do the same, I just happen to own these because I need them for my art. Also, for this years layout I decided to go with a very simple and minimal look because that's much more my style and if I do wanna draw something I can simply incorporate them in my monthly spreads.

the basics:

I kept my 2019 overview and future log very simple. These spreads are always very useful to mark holidays or birthdays, so you don't forget any and make a fool of yourself. I must admit that I didn't really use my future log last year, nevertheless I decided to do one this year in hopes that I'll use it more regularly.

If you're a blogger or a content creator in any way, I can not recommend you enough to incorporate a content planner and a stats tracker in your bullet journal. They make it so much easier to keep a look over your planned content and social channels.

optional pages:

This year I've also decided to add two spreads I've never done before but I am quite excited to see how they will develop. The brain dump spread is a mix of ideas, wishes and goals you would like to achieve in 2019. The other one is my 2019 in 8 Pictures spread which I am honestly most excited about.

Lastly, I've also designed myself a few school related pages for my grades, schedule and upcoming exams. UnfortunatelyI can not show you the final look because  I've already started filling them in.

I don't design monthly setups anymore because I tend to forget to fill them in, so for 2019 I decided to do a cover page for January and to add spreads as I need them and not to do a whole month in advance anymore.

See you soon,
